On this very special date, it was made known to me that "Gia" is already an Emmy Winner! Last saturday the winners for the Technical Emmy awards were announced and "Gia" won for Single-camera picture editing for a miniseries or movie by Eric Sears.(Thanks a bunch Crystal!) Let's just hope the Academy doesn't mess up in the other more relevant categories (i.e. actress & supporting actress) guess y'all know who gets my vote on those two...Later!
Today I added a new section "Angelina Quote of the Month" so try and check it out. Also, I'd like to set up a chat session soon, so email me with suggestions for times. Later.
According to one of my sources, AJ's film "Hell's Kitchen" will have its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September as part of the discovery (i.e. first-time directors) programme. More details to follow soon.
Also, "Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and American Movie Classics celebrate the 30th anniversary of the smash-hit sci-fi film 'Planet of the Apes,' by hosting special commemorative screening of the original film and reception."
Angelina Jolie is one of the expected guests at tonight's showing of "Planet of the Apes" at the Samuel Goldwin Theater. Arrivals begin at 6:45PM.
Hello everyone! Yup, I'm back...(as a smatter of applause fills up the room) had to haul my ass back to Pa. for school.
Anyway, there's a bunch of AJ info I gotta sort out before I post it, so it might take a few days before I get every detail in. Before I go on, I'd like to thank HJ for keeping an eye out for the AJ stuff, so thanks a lot to her!
As for now, the most relevant would be the first look at Angelina in "Dancing About Architecture" courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (They really dig her!) There's a tiny still picture with AJ and co-star Ryan Philippe("54"). I'll be scanning it soon for those of you who haven't yet seen it.
Oh, and of course, only a couple weeks for Emmy night...woo hoo!
I just added a new question to the "Jolie Quizz." Sorry about the lack of updates, but my mind has been occupied on other matters. Still, I'm going home next week, so a temporary news section will go into effect from August 11 until my return, sometime in September.
One word: WOW! Must say, last night's interview was amazing. Twenty minutes + of Angelina Jolie, and priceless anecdotes such as the one about her pet iguana, "Vladimir" and the "Little Mermaid" story made this the best interview with AJ yet. Didn't get to call in, but came in ever sooooooo close!!! Oh well...
*REMINDER* Oh yeah, Angelina will be making her appearance on Snyder tonight. I've received a bunch of questions, and so here are the details:
CBS, 12:35 AM (ET), immediately following Letterman.
Last time she was on the show, the toll free number was 1-800-952-2788 I'm not sure how often this # changes, and I can't believe I'm telling you guys, cause now I most definitely won't get to call in! The line will be too busy!!!! : )
What a nice date...yes, yet another month in AJ land. If you want to check out a short snipet from Angelina's arrival at this year's Golden Globe Awards, visit the "Angelina Interviews" section and follow the link. It is worth your time. (I highly recommend downloading the "quicktime" version.) Thanks a lot, Linda!
